Event Details

For the last of the Multimorbidity Webinar series, Dr Justin Coleman (General Practitioner, Inala Indigenous Health Service) will talk about “Polypharmacy, adjusting doses, drug burden index” in the context of multimorbidity with Emeritus Professor Mieke van Driel (General Practice Clinical Unit, The University of Queensland) to chair the discussions.

According to a survey conducted by In Vivo Academy among its GP members, the most common challenges they face when managing patient with multimorbidity are prioritising treatment, drug interactions associated with polypharmacy and patient adherence to treatment. If you experience the same challenges, attend this webinar to learn more about managing multimorbidity while addressing polypharmacy.

Please note that this webinar will be accredited by RACGP, ACRRM, and RNZCGP. It is supported by an independent (“at arms-length”) educational grant from Boehringer Ingelheim. As such the sponsor is NOT INVOLVED in the selection of faculty, design and content of the activity. In Vivo Academy chose the faculty based on their long experience and expertise on the specific topics. We made sure that they are a combination of academics and practicing clinicians.

In planning the activity, In Vivo Academy conducted a comprehensive needs assessment (including a review of the literature, several surveys from 2019 to 2021 of primary care providers who are our targeted audience, and interviews of experts) to identify knowledge, competence, and practice gaps. The activity was designed to address these gaps and outcomes will be assessed using the Moore Framework.
