Recognise and Respond – Suicide Prevention in Everyday Life

2022Recognise and Respond – Suicide Prevention in Everyday Life

Event Details

Recognise and Respond – Suicide Prevention in Everyday Life, is an online course developed by the Black Dog Institute, for anyone who’d like to learn how to recognise and respond to a friend, family member or colleague who may be at risk of suicide.

We get it. Just the thought of talking to someone about suicide night seem scary and overwhelming. It might even seem beyond you. But it’s not. You don’t have to be a trained professional to engage in a conversation about suicide. This free, interactive, 1-hour self-paced training course looks at how to recognise changes in someone’s behaviour, how to engage in a conversation with that person and where to find further support. It provides you with the tools and confidence you need to have a life-saving conversation.
