What to expect during the live stream?

In the one-hour live stream launch, NEDC National Director Dr Beth Shelton will introduce Eating Disorder Core Skills: eLearning for GPs, with GP Dr Jennifer Conway and people with lived experience of eating disorders. NEDC Clinical Resource Project Coordinator Emily Hardman will demonstrate how the interactive eLearning modules will step GPs through the key information needed to improve treatment outcomes through early detection, intervention, and best practice care.

There will be a live Q&A session after the presentation which will provide you with the opportunity to ask questions.

Eating Disorder Core Skills: eLearning for GPs

The Eating Disorder Core Skills: eLearning for GPs has been developed specifically for general practitioners and is evidence-based, nationally recognised and freely accessible. The training has been developed by NEDC and steps general practitioners through the key information needed to provide best practice care for their patients with eating disorders. The four-hour, five-module, self-paced training is interactive, engaging and will take GPs through practical real-life scenarios. GPs will be provided with resources and tools to support implementing learnings in practice.

Eating Disorder Core Skills: eLearning for GPs is accredited by the RACGP as a CPD Accredited Activity (40 points) and the GPMHSC as Mental Health CPD, and free to NEDC members.
