New research to explore whole person care

In Central Queensland, Sunshine Coast, Wide Bay by PHN Communications

Researchers from The University of Queensland’s Primary Care Clinical Unit are seeking GPs or GP registrars willing to participate in a short interview about their views on and experiences providing “whole person” care.

“Whole person care” is a core feature of general practice, however exactly what this involves is not consistently defined. Researchers are seeking to clarify how GPs understand whole person care, factors that affect its provision, and the likely impact of Health Care Homes on the practise.

Participating in the study involves a 20-30 minute face-to-face or telephone/on-line interview at a time convenient to you. We anticipate that your involvement will benefit patients and the general practice community by providing a foundation for clearer communication and enhanced provision of whole person care in Australian general practice.
