New sessions to support families affected by alcohol and drugs

In Sunshine Coast by PHN Communications

Gympie families can access new support sessions to help them through the issues caused by the problematic misuse of alcohol and drugs, such as methamphetamine.

Over the past 20 years Family Drug Support (FDS) has provided support to thousands family members across Australia.

When someone in the family has problematic drug or alcohol use, everyone is impacted. According to FDS, many of those who experience issues with substance abuse have stated that without their family’s support, they would not have sought help. So FDS work to support the families.

Individuals affected by a family member’s alcohol or drug use can attend a two weekend course over 25-26 August and 8-9 September.

FDS is a not-for-profit organisation that has been providing a range of support services specifically designed for family members of drug and alcohol users for the last two decades.
